What is the book about?
Mamluk is an epic tale of a boy from the Great Steppe who is sold into slavery and rises to become one of the greatest sultans of Egypt.
Inspired by true events, the novel draws from the life of Sultan Baybars, a legendary 13th-century Turkic ruler who influenced the history of the Middle East.
